Fruit Crisp

Warm, fruity, oat filled, spelty goodness….I have been working like crazy lately and wanted a bit of a treat that didn’t involve me eating a bag of licorice. I have a serious licorice problem…is licorice a problem? Anyhow here’s my licorice alternative.

Combine 2 peeled and sliced apples, three cups frozen or fresh peach slices and three cups frozen or fresh raspberries in a oven proof bowl or small Dutch oven. Add 1/4 cup spelt flour and mix.

In a separate bowl combine 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup spelt flour, 1/2 cup Sucanat and 1/2 cup melted coconut oil or vegan buttery spread.

Pour topping over fruit and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes.

2 apples peeled and sliced
3 cups sliced frozen peaches
3 cups frozen raspberries
1/4 cup spelt flour

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup spelt flour
1/2 cup Sucanat
1/2 cup melted coconut oil or vegan buttery spread.
